Madass Owners Group (MOG)

The gathering was held in NZ Restaurant Cafe at 4.30pm, Sunday 16 November 2013.

This is my first time attending such event, I'm glad to be there. There is a lot other bikers riding different machine especially those ladies riding big machines. They were like standing toe to toe when they are on the machine.

The gathering ended quite late, had meetings with the president and vice president regarding the new t-shirts and some other agenda.

There is 20-30 Madass 125 from different years of production.

15Nov2013 - Getting Rid Of The Cat

I after measuring the pipe from the header, it's 1 inch plus OD which I couldn't find any in my nearest hardware shop so I end up buying a few 304 stainless steel adapter which are use for water plumbing and luckily it has the same ID as measured on the header's pipe.

I had no idea regarding the exhaust's steel material but I know it is made of SS and that is white I get 3 SS fittings.

I TIG welded them together and took out the pipe and do mock up using sharpie and tack weld a few spots. It took quite some time to measure, mark, tack, install back to the bike, make adjustment, weld and install.

The cat doesn't contain any ceramic materials like cars or anything, it is just a small restrictive baffle with a sharp edge which doesn't give any good flow from the start to the end of he baffle (cat).

14Nov2013 - Block Off Plate for Air Box

It was after a rainy afternoon that made me put back the stock air box to avoid the carb to choke in the future raining days.

I have made a block off plate for the air box too where in the previous post I have deleted the EGR pipe and replaced with an aluminium plate. DIY method is the same as before which require a small aluminium plate, all stainless steel - 2 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 spring washer and 2 washer.

The secondary box that come with the EGR outlet has a few steel screws which can go rust whenever there is rain water enters the air box.

Since my country's emission isn't as strict as other country, that is why I got rid the EGR system.
